Darren will play the bad guy in the new Space/CTV Pilot Borealis,

Borealis is set 30 years in the future and portrays a frontier town in the high Arctic – as polar icecaps melt, countries compete for the last vestiges of oil in the region. Darren plays Sergei Rostov, a Russian MMA champion who will go toe to toe with the shows star Ty Olson. Borealis will air late 2012.

METAL HURLANT aka HEAVY METAL

Darren has just complete filming an episode of Metal Hurlant Chronicles, a new TV series based on the famous comic books Heavy Metal. Darren Co-stars in the episode The King's Crown, with Scott Adkins, Michael Jai White and Matt Mullins, the action is choreographed by Larnell Stovall, produced by Justine Veillot & directed by Guillaume Lubrano. The series will be out mid 2012 check out the teaser top left.

Darren has wrapped shooting "Hangar 14" -

A training exercise for the LAPD SWAT Team goes terribly wrong when they find themselves pitted against two rival gangs while trapped in an abandoned Hangar, armed with nothing but blanks. Darren plays tough guy Italian gangster Storato whose gang goes up against Stone Cold Steve Austin and Michael Jai White's SWAT team.

Ip Man 2 will be in theatres across the US and Canada on January 28th 2011.

Darren filmed a guest star spot on the FOX hit show "Human Target" in season 2 ep 7 "A problem like Maria" Darren plays Eladio Lopez a ruthless south American hitman.

Darren has just wrapped shooting the fantasy adventure film "Aladdin - and the curse of the Djinn" - After accidentally releasing an evil genie from an ancient lamp, Aladdin (Darren Shahlavi) must find a way to imprison the genie again before it wreaks havoc on the world. The film is due out in 2011. Here's a first look at a still of the cast.

"Ip Man 2", starring Donnie Yen, Sammo Hung and Darren Shahlavi and directed by Wilson Yip, was released in Asia on April 29th, 2010 and remains the highest grossing Asian film of the year. The picture is due for a theatrical release in North America and in the UK early 2011.
